Our Supply Chain team is nimble and supportive of each other, demonstrating flexibility and care by covering intra-team responsibilities on an as needed basis.

Role Description

As our Program Manager, Supply Chain, you will use your understanding and knowledge of supply chain operations and network engineering to identify areas of improvement for processes and procedures, minimizing risk, and driving positive change to meet the needs of the business. You will collaborate and negotiate, traveling when necessary to meet in person, with our suppliers and internal partners to maintain supply chain continuity in the most cost effective manner to support GFiber's Fiber to the Home (FTTH) network buildout and maintenance. You will use the data you gather and organize to present your findings to internal and external cross-functional partners both in live and written settings in a constructive and analytical manner demonstrating extra care towards high-priority tasks.

In this role, you'll:

  • Maintain GFiber's relationships with suppliers supporting Network Engineering, Outside Plant (OSP), and Last Mile (LM) commodities.
  • Develop and execute commodity strategies to ensure materials are available when needed.
  • Lead cross functional teams with supplier selection identifying substitutable and new material to support efficient network build out and maintenance, while facilitating the investigation and resolution of material quality issues.
  • Conduct high-level negotiations including comprehensive contractual agreements.
  • Drive procurement and delivery improvements with objective metrics and regular business review.
  • Address business-level projects to identify areas of opportunity and project manage solutions.
  • Travel to customer sites as necessary.

At a minimum we'd like you to have:

  • 5 years of experience working in supply chain or related environments.
  • 3 years experience as a commodity manager in the telecommunications sector.
  • Experience negotiating contracts and dispute resolutions with vendors and knowledge of OSP and Last Mile FTTH material.
  • Ability to travel 5% of the time domestically.

It's preferred if you have:

  • Experience managing vendors at scale and manufacturing and supply chain processes.
  • Experience with finance and analytics, cost modeling, forecasting, procurement, and inventory metrics.
  • Direct experience in working in supply chain operations with an understanding of materials utilized to deploy fiber networks.
  • Ability to use structured approaches to lead cross-functional problem solving teams.
  • Experience using verbal and written communication to influence stakeholders.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $136,000 - $198,000 bonus cash award benefits. As pay varies by location, your recruiter will share more about the specific salary range for your targeted location during the hiring process.
